Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ issue littering allegations

After being accused of ‘littering’ in Ladakh while filming ‘Laal Singh Chaddha,’ Aamir Khan’s production firm has released a formal statement refuting the charges.

The creators of the film claimed in a statement posted on Aamir’s production house (AKP) official Instagram profile that none of the allegations leveled against the actor and his team are accurate, and that they are taking every precaution to keep the atmosphere clean.

The statement went like this: “To anyone it may concern, AKP would like to say that as a firm, we adhere to stringent cleaning standards in and around our filming locations. We have a crew that ensures that the site is always clear of rubbish. At the end of the day, the entire location is rechecked. We make sure that when we leave a site, we leave it as clean as we found it at the conclusion of the full schedule.”

“We feel there are certain rumors/allegations that our facility is not maintained clean. Such accusations are categorically denied by us. Our site is always available for appropriate local authorities to conduct inspections whenever they want “the statement released by Khan’s production house.

For the uninitiated, Jigmat Ladakhi, a social media user, had previously uploaded a video on Twitter showing the whole region strewn with old plastic bottles.

He slammed Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ for the “present” it had “left for the people of Wakha in Ladakh.” He even mentioned that on his social awareness show, ‘Satyamev Jayate,’ the actor promotes environmental cleanliness.

According to the user, “This is the present the villagers of Wakha in Ladakh have received from Bollywood actor Amir Khan’s forthcoming film Lal Singh Chada. At Satyamev Jayate, Amir Khan makes a great deal about environmental cleanliness, but this is what happens when it comes to himself.”

In ‘Laal Singh Chaddha,’ Aamir and Kareena Kapoor Khan rejoin after their previous collaboration in ‘3 Idiots.’ Mona Singh will also appear in the film with Kareena.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha,’ adapted by Atul Kulkarni and directed by Advait Chandan, is an official Hindi adaptation of Robert Zemeckis’ Oscar-winning 1994 film ‘Forrest Gump,’ which starred Tom Hanks in the title character.

According to reports, the film would depict some of India’s major events from the perspective of a guy with a low IQ. According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will make cameo appearances in the next flick.

The forthcoming film, which has been dubbed “the most anticipated release of the year,” is set to enter theatres on Christmas Day.
