Ajay Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar admits to his wrongdoing in the Drishyam 2 trailer

Drishyam 2

On Thursday afternoon, the recall teaser for Ajay Devgn’s next crime film Drishyam 2 was released. The movie is a continuation of the actor’s 2015 hit and a remake of Mohanlal’s Malayalam feature from the previous year. The teaser summarises the events of the previous film and delivers a quick but shocking glimpse of what to expect in the second installment.

The recall teaser begins with a summary of everything that occurred in Drishyam. The plot centered on Ajay Devgn’s character, Vijay Salgaonkar, and his family, who became involved in the death of a boy who had blackmailed his daughter (Ishita Dutta). The narrative depicted how Vijay, his wife (Shriya Saran), and two children concealed the crime while being pursued by Meera Deshmukh (Tabu), the mother of the murdered son.

A voice-over of Tabu from the previous film states, “Confession is the only way to solve a case when there is no evidence or leads.” The phrase ends, and we see an older, grayer Vijay being filmed at a police station. Vijay responds in Hindi, “My name is Vijay Salgaonkar, and here is my confession.”

Fans welcomed the little teaser, with Ajay receiving particular acclaim. One admirer said, “Finally the most versatile actor is back in the famous role,” while another said he skipped the Malayalam original to watch the Hindi remake. “Only because of Ajay Devgan sir, I did not watch the original Drishyam 2, but now that part 2 is finally on its way, I am eager for this masterpiece,” reads one comment.
