Alia Bhatt does not read reviews: ‘It’s not like that’

Alia Bhatt has answered a question about how the reviews of her movies make her feel. Alia said in a new interview that she doesn’t read reviews, whether they are good or bad. The actor also said that she meets “enough people” who tell her what they think of her. She also said that she gets feedback on what worked and what “could have done better” for every movie she makes.

Alia Bhatt first movie in Bollywood was called “Student of the Year,” which came out in 2012. Since then, she has been in many movies, including Highway, 2 States, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Kapoor & Sons, Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi, Raazi, Gully Boy, Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR, and Darlings.

In an interview with trade analyst Komal Nahta, Alia stated, “I never look at reviews. Even if they’re positive, I don’t bother reading reviews. When they’re bad, I don’t bother reading them. But I don’t read reviews, even if they are good. I sometimes read the headlines that people send me. I don’t know if the first movie gave me a general idea of what worked and what didn’t, but I think it did because after the movie came out, I had a better idea of what did and didn’t work. When I meet people in person, I ask them enough times what they think. It’s not true that “I don’t want to read” (me padhna nahi) (turns away and shields her face). I don’t like this kind of analysis of a movie on day one or day 10 or any other day.”

In an interview with trade analyst Komal Nahta, Alia stated, “I never look at reviews. Even if they’re positive, I don’t bother reading reviews. When they’re bad, I don’t bother reading them. So if you keep your ear close to the ground, you will hear that feedback. Every time I make a movie, I try to find out what I could have done better and, if the movie did well, what worked. Why try again if it didn’t work? That I understand.”

Alia was last seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone had cameos that were longer than a few seconds. The movie Brahmastra came out everywhere on September 9.

Alia is working on several projects, including her first movie for Hollywood, Heart of Stone. Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan also have parts in the Netflix movie. Alia will also be in Karan Johar’s next movie, Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which he will direct. Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Ranveer Singh are also in the movie. It’s supposed to come out in February of next year. She also has Jee Le Zaraa with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif, which was directed by Farhan Akhtar.
