Amitabh Bachchan mocks the promotional strategy for Goodbye in a new video
Amitabh Bachchan has mocked his upcoming film Goodbye’s promotional strategy. Amitabh took to Twitter to share a fun video in which he asked his team about the film’s promotional line. However, he continued to be disappointed as the members made suggestions to him.
The video began with Amitabh settling on a couch and asking the team what to say on camera. He said, looking at the camera, “So we’re promoting Goodbye,” he said, before asking his team, “So what are your thoughts? You’ve been discussing this issue for the past 15 or 16 hours; do you have anything to contribute at this point? It was 25 hours, a voice corrected him.
Following that, someone suggested the promotion line “good stories make good memories,” to which Amitabh replied, “So life is a big story made up of small stories.” He then asked the individual, “Why? What’s the problem with big stories? The actor also rejected a promo line that said “spending time with family.”

An impressed Amitabh spoke on camera after a woman suggested her ‘Hasta la vista’ idea “Hasta la vista (Spanish), aau jo (Gujarati), shchi (Bengali), mee yet (Marathi), and Goodbye (English). But we say mee yet, which means we’re going with the hope of seeing each other again. So, bye for now, will meet soon.” Hasta la vista, aau jo, shchi, and mee yet are all phrases that mean’see you later.’
As Amitabh was about to leave, another voice reminded him that the promotions were not yet over. Amitabh added his spin to the promotional line near the end of the video. “This is the promotional line. Purse Milne ka to tabhi Mann Karta hai jab Jaane ki Khushi ho (When we leave happily, we want to meet again).” Amitabh asked his team after saying the line, “Did you receive it? No? I’m leaving now because so many ideas have been discussed.”
Amitabh shared the video and wrote, “T 4400 – Introducing our film’s promotional video. #Goodbye! It’s fine if you understood it; otherwise, The #GoodbyeTrailer will be released tomorrow; you will understand it then! #Goodbye will be released in theatres on October 7, 2022, #GoodbyeOnOct7 #TrailerOutTomorrow.”
Goodbye, directed by Vikas Bahl, also stars Neena Gupta, Pavel Gulati, Elli AvrRam, Sunil Grover, and Sahil Mehta. Rashmika Mandanna makes her Bollywood debut in this film. On October 7, the movie will debut in theatres.
Along with Anupam Kher, Parineeti Chopra, and Boman Irani, Amitabh has a role in director Sooraj Barjatya’s next family entertainer film Uunchai. The film will be released in theatres on November 11th.
