Before making his acting debut in 2012, Ayushmann Khurrana worked as an RJ and VJ and interviewed several actors. He once had to wait several hours for an interview with Shah Rukh Khan.

Ayushmann Khurrana, who made his Bollywood debut a decade ago last month, tried a variety of other careers before settling on acting. He worked as an RJ, VJ, anchor, and film critic, and he had the opportunity to interview many Bollywood actors. Ayushmann recently recalled how he once had the opportunity to interview Shah Rukh Khan, but things did not go as planned.

Ayushmann revealed that he waited for Shah Rukh for six to seven hours to interview him, but he was preoccupied with an ad shoot. Ayushmann also stated that Shah Rukh had a significant impact on his career.

“I remember our first meeting,” he told Times Now. I was doing radio at the time and had to interview him. I couldn’t interview him because he was filming an advertisement. The wait was a long one, lasting about seven hours. I had to do my show and then return to the studio, so I saw him sitting on the set and shooting.”
The actor continued by saying, “He has had an impact on the direction that my life has taken. My interest in the field of mass communication was sparked by Shah Rukh Khan. I wanted to be an actor, so I studied hard and excelled in college because of him… He’s my hero.”

While Ayushmann has no regrets about not getting an interview with Shah Rukh, he has previously stated that some of the actors were rude to him during interviews. He told Bollywood Bubble that it had happened many times before, but he refused to name any actors. When asked if their behavior changed after he became an actor, Ayushmann replied, “They didn’t remember.” Because they don’t remember if your films are releasing and you have 20 interviews lined up. It would have been embarrassing for them if they did.”

Ayushmann is currently preparing to release his next film, Anek. The film, directed by Anubhav Sinha and starring Andrea Kevichusa, is a sociopolitical drama set in Northeast India that follows an undercover cop on a mission to restore peace in the region. It will be released in theatres on Friday, May 27.
