Tuesday, Ram Charan, his wife Upasana Konidela, and their dog Rhyme boarded a chartered airplane to Japan for RRR’s promotion. On social media, a photo of Ram Charan at the airport has surfaced. Ram Charan will be joined by Jr NTR and director SS Rajamouli for the pre-release promotions of RRR, which hits Japanese theatres on October 21.

RRR, which grossed over 1000 crore worldwide during its theatrical run and was widely praised for its breathless action, powerful performances, and lavish sets, is preparing for a massive release in Japan.

In July, a post from the official RRR Twitter account stated that the film would debut in Japanese theatres on October 21.

RRR is a fictional story set in the pre-independence era of the 1920s that is inspired by the lives of two genuine heroes and well-known revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Although Ram Charan portrayed Ram Jr. NTR aka Tarak portrayed Bheem.

Made with an approximate budget of 300 crore, the film became one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, second only to Rajamouli’s own Baahubali trilogy.

The Hindi-dubbed version of RRR is available on Netflix, while the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam originals are available on ZEE5. Netflix just revealed that it was the most popular non-English film on the platform worldwide.

As part of the Beyond Fest, RRR has been re-released in multiple US cities over the past few months.

Earlier this month, the film premiered at TCL Chinese Theatre to a resounding audience reception. A source from Deadline claimed that 932 theatre seats were sold out in twenty minutes. The picture earned $21,000 from the single screening, bringing its total box office profits since re-release to $221,156.
