Deepika Padukone has made an unusual post about her recent trip to Venice. Deepika was accompanied on the trip by her mother, Ujjala, and sister, Anisha Padukone. Pictures show them doing a variety of touristy activities throughout the fashionable Italian city. (Learn more: When Deepika Padukone told Madhuri Dixit about her father’s crush, and how he locked himself in the toilet when she got married.)

Deepika is only partially visible in the first image, wearing a mask on her face. Anisha appears on camera in her Adidas grey sweatpants, and Ujjala flashes a peace sign in her new outfit. They appear to be sitting in an airport lounge. Deepika and Anisha are seated in the first-class seats of their plane in the following photo. Deepika sneaks in a selfie, capturing a snoozing Anisha behind her.

More photos show views of the Doge’s Palace in the heart of Venice, the palace’s beautiful ceiling and interiors, Deepika enjoying a cone of ice cream, and views of boats in the canals. An image also showed Anisha and Ujjala enjoying a gondola ride while Deepika snapped them. Deepika captioned her post, “Venice Photo Dump,” when she shared the photos.

Deepika’s husband Ranveer Singh reacted to the post with love, stars, and coronary heart emojis. Anisha referred to her as a ‘Q-T’. “Loved the photo dump,” one fan said. “Amazing people, amazing photos,” wrote another.

Deepika appears to have flown to Venice while also serving as a jury member for this year’s Cannes Film Festival. She is a member of the eight-member jury that will award one of 21 films competing for the coveted Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival’s closing ceremony on Saturday, May 28.

The jury would be presided over by French actor Vincent Lindon, Swedish actor Noomi Rapace, Italian actor-director Jasmine Trinca, French filmmaker-actor Ladj Ly, filmmaker Jeff Nichols, and Norwegian director-screenwriter Joachim Trier.

Lindon stated in an announcement on the pageant’s official website that the jury “will strive to take the best possible care of the films of the future.” “It is a great honor and source of pride to be entrusted, in the midst of all that is going on in the world, with the splendid, weighty task of chairing the Jury of the 75th International Cannes Film Festival.”

Deepika, 36, was previously the chairperson of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Movie Competition for two years.
