Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi have welcomed her first child and it’s a boy! The actress took to social media to share an emotional and personal message with fans, informing them that their son, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi, was born on May 14 and is recovering in a Neonatal ICU. Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi share an emotional post as they welcome son Avyaan Azaad.

“To paraphrase Elizabeth Stone, having a kid means deciding to have your heart wander around outside your body forever,” Dia wrote.

“These lines absolutely reflect Vaibhav & my thoughts right now,” she continued. Our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi, our heartbeat, was born on May 14th. Our tiny miracle has been cared about by dedicated nurses and physicians in the Neonatal ICU since arriving early.”

“An unexpected appendectomy during my pregnancy, followed by a serious bacterial infection, may have resulted in sepsis, which could have been fatal. Thankfully, our doctor’s prompt attention and action guaranteed our baby’s safe birth via an emergency C-section.”

“As we gaze in amazement and astonishment at this small creature, this Zen master, we learn, in all humility, the true meaning of trusting the world and fatherhood from him. And to not be frightened, so we humbly follow in his footsteps of tenacity and bravery. We don’t have enough words to express our gratitude to everyone who continues to support us in living this narrative of hope and faith and providing a secure, therapeutic, and loving environment for Avyaan and me. He’ll be back soon, and his older sister Samaira and grandparents are eager to embrace him.”

“To our fans and well-wishers, I just want to say that your concern has always meant a lot to me, and we would have shared this news sooner if it had been feasible. Thank you for all of your kindness, light, faith, and prayers. We return them to anybody who is currently fighting to hold on to hope or praying for a loved one. “Dia & Vaibhav,” she signed off, “we see you, we hear you, and together, we will get over this time.”
