Drug case involving Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa

About a two-year-old drug case, Bharti Singh and her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, may face legal issues shortly. According to a report by ANI, the Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau has stated that they have presented the court with a charge sheet against the couple that is comprised of 200 pages. They were arrested in 2020 for a drug offense and are currently free on bail.

Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa are now the parents of Lakshya, a six-month-old boy. In November 2020, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested them after seizing cannabis from their suburban Andheri home. NCB stated that 86.5 grams of marijuana were recovered from their residence during a raid. “Both Bharti and her husband Haarsh Limbachiya admitted to using marijuana,” NCB officials were quoted as saying by ANI. The search was conducted as part of an NCB investigation into alleged drug use in the entertainment industry, an NCB official said.

After two days, the magistrate court granted the couple bail on a 15,000 bond each. They were charged under the NDPS Act sections 20(b)(ii)(A) (involved small quantity of drugs), 8(c) (possession of drugs), and 27 (consumption of drugs).

In addition to launching the third season of their comedy game show, Khatra Khatra Khatra, earlier this year, Bharti and Haarsh have hosted several reality shows. Bharti is currently hosting the singing reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2022.
