It took Amole Gupte six years to finish his biopic on badminton champion Saina Nehwal. The film is good to go to deliver with Parineeti Chopra attempting the piece of the badminton pro. Discussing the film, which is named Saina, he says, “I had a feeling that I had bounced off an airplane with a parachute that wasn’t opening for some time. I thought I planned to crash land and vanish, yet fortunately it opened and I had a smooth arrival.”

The venture, which took off in 2015, confronted an obstacle when Shraddha Kapoor, who was to star initially in the film, bowed out.
