Kangana Ranaut no relief in court, says the writer Ashish Kaul’s lawyers

Essayist Ashish Kaul had documented a copyright encroachment body of evidence against Kangana Ranaut for the film ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda’. The essayist has now clarified that he will be restricting any alleviation to the entertainer in the copyright case. Consequently, Kangana and her sibling Akshat Ranaut have documented a request in the Bombay High Court to suppress the FIR against them in the said case.

Kaul’s legal advisors Yogita Joshi and Amani Khan said, “Kangana Ranaut has petitioned for identification issuance and argues that her visa is denied by experts considering the case by our customer Ashish Kaul and another case both at the Bandra Officer Court.” They likewise added, “We have deferred off notice and will record a nitty-gritty and exhaustive answer eagerly contradicting any alleviation since she is yet to show up before the Police for an assertion for this situation and consequently examination has been moderate. ( sic)”

Kaul had claimed that he had sent an email about the storyline of his book ‘Didda: The Warrior Queen of Kashmir’ to Kangana, and she utilized some piece of the story in a tweet while reporting her film without his authorization. After Kaul had documented a legal dispute claiming copyright encroachment of the story, the court guided the Khar police to record an argument against Kangana. The entertainer is yet to show up before the Khar police for the situation.

In February, maker Kamal Jain had reported on Twitter that he was teaming up with Kangana and author Vijayendra Prasad for ‘The Legend of Didda’ a spin-off of 2019’s ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. This spin-off will purportedly recount the genuine story of Didda who as the sovereign of Kashmir had crushed Mehmood Ghaznavi in a fight twice, in spite of having polio in one leg.
