Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal attend the first Karwa Chauth, fans swoon

Late Thursday night, Katrina Kaif posted images of her first Karwa Chauth to Instagram. The actor, who tied the knot with fellow actor Vicky Kaushal last December, commemorated the occasion by posting pictures of himself and his family dressed in traditional attire. Fans affectionately referred to the couple as adorable.

Thursday night, Katrina Kaif posted a slideshow of photographs from her home Karwa Chauth celebrations with the caption “Pehla (first) Karwa Chauth.” The first photo was a selfie taken by Vicky Kaushal from their balcony. Katrina wore a pink saree adorned with a good and sindoor, while he wore an off-white kurta-pyjama. In the second photograph taken at the same location, Vicky’s parents Sham and Veena Kaushal joined the couple. The third photograph, allegedly taken earlier in the evening, depicts Vicky and Katrina standing on the same balcony and smiling at the camera. The final photograph was a close-up of Katrina holding the Karwa thaali that married women use for the festival’s puja.

Karwa Chauth is an annual Hindu festival in which women fast for the health and longevity of their husbands. In most households, the first Karwa Chauth after marriage is celebrated with great pomp and circumstance. Several fans added heart emojis to the post. One observer remarked, “May your love grow every year. This is very cute.” Another user commented, “By far the cutest couple ever. They appear so sincere.”

Katrina and Vicky tied the knot at a heritage property in Rajasthan in front of close family and friends a year ago. Katrina stated on Koffee with Karan that her relationship with Vicky was sudden and unexpected. She stated, “It was my fate, and it was truly destined to be.” There were so many coincidences that, at one point, it all seemed so implausible.”
