In the comedy-drama Janhit Mein Jaari, Nushrratt Bharuccha portrays a condom salesperson. The movie was released on Friday.

On Friday, Nushrratt Bharuccha’s comedy-drama Janhit Mein Jaari was released. The performer, who had always wanted to play the main part in the film before it went into pre-production, has voiced her amazement at others mocking her for appearing in a film about such a sensitive issue. Raaj Shaandilyaa of Dream Girl fame wrote the script for the film.

Nushrratt portrays Neeti, who works for a condom manufacturer but has to keep the truth from her in-laws. Her character encounters several challenges as she continues to sell condoms, a career fraught with revulsion and guilt.

Nushrratt said times that she was mocked for taking on the project “I’ve seen a lot of people being trolled, but I’m not sure why I felt it wouldn’t happen to me with Janhit Mein Jaari. We never believed or felt that any component of the picture, any line, scene, or sequence would be offensive while we were producing it. There is no kissing moment, and there are no sexual references or jokes throughout the film. There are also no abuses. I never expected such a positive reception to such a clear picture.”

She said, “People haven’t even watched the movie; they’ve just seen the trailer, and they’re already reacting.” That was the moment I realized what type of society we live in. Log Ek mauka nahi date hai Bas aa Gaye views, remarks, prejudices, and judgments (people don’t even give a chance, they simply form their own opinions and judgments).”

The actress recently told PTI that during the production of Dream Girl, Raaj Shaandilyaa discussed the concept of Janhit Mein Jaari with her and she was swept away by it. She said, “It was crazy to think that the girl would be in the middle talking about a social message with a touch of humor.” It also features key performances by Vijay Raaz, Dhaka, and Tinnu Anand.
