R Madhavan also posted a video of Vedaant’s victory on Instagram. “Gold….,” he captioned the photo (dancing and gold medal emojis). With your blessings and God’s finest (red heart and folded hands emojis). @vedaantmadhavan wins 800m gold today. I’m both overwhelmed and humbled. Thank you to Coach @bacpradeep sir, @swimmingfederation.in, @ansadxb, and the rest of the squad.”

Vedaant won gold in the men’s 800m freestyle event at the Danish Open, defeating swimmer Alexander L Bjorn. Vedaant had previously won silver in the 1500m freestyle event at the same competition.
