Renee Sen shares previously unseen family photos of Sushmita Sen, Charu Asopa, and Rajeev Sen on the occasion of her grandmother’s birthday

Renee Sen, Sushmita Sen’s elder daughter, posted a slew of photos to her Instagram account on Tuesday. Renee also wrote a heartfelt note for her grandmother, Subhra Sen. In the comments section, a few fans also wished Subhra.

Renee Sen captioned the photos, “Happyyyyy birthday to the best Grandma ever whom we all call Nanna.” You are courageous, kind, and forgiving, and you have the biggest heart! We are all so fortunate to have you in our lives, and I wish you a magical year. I wish you continued health and happiness as you explore the world in your unique way. Dugga Dugga Dugga.

Renee kept her head on her grandmother, Subhra’s, hair in the first photo. The next few pictures were of Renee, her younger sister Alisah, Sushmita Sen, Subhra Sen, Shubeer Sen, Rajeev Sen, Charu Asopa, Ziana Sen, and other family members.

Sushmita adopted Renee as her first adopted daughter is 2000, and Alisah as her second adopted daughter in 2010. Sushmita spoke about the decision to adopt the girls during an interaction at FICCI Hyderabad, saying, “The wisest decision I made at the age of 24 was to become a mother.” It made my life more stable. People think it’s charity, but it’s self-preservation. It was me defending myself.”

Sushmita was most recently seen in the Amazon Prime series Aarya 2, where she played Aarya Sareen, a woman who inherits her late husband’s drug business. She won the Filmfare OTT Awards for Best Actress Female in the first season of Aarya.
