Salman Khan names ‘babu’ Sooraj Barjatya his ‘best director’

Salman Khan referred to Sooraj Barjatya as his “best director” and wished him success with his upcoming flick Uunchai. Wednesday on Twitter, Salman also appreciated Sooraj Barjatya. The actor also tweeted the trailer for Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan.

Salman tweeted, “One of the greatest individuals I’ve ever met.” All the best dear brother Sooraj babuuuuuuu. #SoorajRBarjatya.” His followers showered him with love. A person remarked, “Excellent deed, brother.” Another user tweeted, “Your Jodi has given lifelong characters… We fall in love with Prem every time we watch one of his films, and believe me, I have watched the films of this duo many times.

Sooraj has directed several films starring Salman. In Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), a loving musical, Salman played his first main role. Also featured in the film was Bhagyashree. Salman and Sooraj subsequently collaborated on Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994). In the musical romance, Madhuri Dixit starred opposite Salman. He belonged to Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999). Salman also appeared alongside Sonam Kapoor in the 2015 love drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

Recently, during the launch of the teaser for Uunchai, Sooraj disclosed that Salman had expressed interest in participating in the film. “Salman asked me, ‘Sooraj, what are you preparing?’ when I was preparing this dish (Uunchai),” Sooraj explained. Why are you fleeing to the mountains? He said, “I can do this film!” I said no since everyone knows he can climb mountains, and I needed individuals who appear incapable, as reported by PTI.

Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, and Danny Denzongpa star in the drama titled Uunchai about four buddies. The film produced by Rajshri Productions also features Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta, and Sarika. On November 11, Uunchai is going to be made available to the public.

Next year, Salman will appear in two films: Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and Tiger 3. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will be released nationwide on Eid 2023, whereas Tiger 3 will be released on Diwali. Tiger 3, starring Katrina Kaif, was originally intended to be released on Eid, April 21, 2023. Maneesh Sharma is Tiger 3’s director.

Kisi Ka Bhai Farhad Samji directs Kisi Ki Jaan, which was dubbed Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali at one point. In addition, Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh Daggubati will be featured. The film is produced by Salman Khan Films, his production company.
