Sanya Malhotra to co-star with Rajkummar Rao in Hindi remake of ‘Hit’

Sanya Malhotra announced on Friday that she will star with Rajkummar Rao in the Hindi adaptation of the Telugu hit ‘Hit.’ The narrative of a police officer on the hunt for a missing lady is told in the 2020 cop thriller Homicide Intervention Team.

Malhotra stated that she had seen the original Telugu film and felt it to be a fascinating narrative.

“I saw ‘Hit,’ and I was quite impressed with the film’s idea. I instantly accepted the film when it was given to me. It’s a fascinating and engaging story that ought to be told to a large audience. This one excites me, and I’m looking forward to working with Raj on it “Malhotra explained.

Sailesh Kolanu, who will also direct the Hindi version of ‘Hit,’ directed the film starring Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma.

The Hindi version is now under pre-production and will begin filming in the near future.
The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar, and Kuldeep Rathore.

The 29-year-old will next be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Meenakshi Sundareshwar,’ which also stars Abhimanyu Dassani and is produced by him.

Sanya Malhotra will also star with Bobby Deol and Vikrant Massey in Shah Rukh Khan’s next home production ‘Love Hostel.’

Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma played major roles in the Telugu film HIT. The story follows a cop who is on the lookout for a missing woman. T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar, and Kuldeep Rathore are producing the Hindi adaptation. The creators aim to offer the Hindi adaptation a similar twist on a wider canvas, as HIT is a major investigative brand down South.

Rajkummar Rao will play the principal role of the police officer in the Hindi version. The idea has piqued the actor’s interest. Earlier, the Roohi actor stated in a statement regarding the film, “It’s an interesting narrative that’s relevant in today’s world. As an actor, I’m constantly looking for opportunities to play characters I haven’t had the chance to play before, and HIT provides me with that opportunity. I’m excited to go on this adventure with Sailesh and Dil Raju.”
