Shatrughan Sinha blamed Rekha was responsible for his rift with Big B

In the 1970s, veteran actors Shatrughan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan had a rocky relationship. However, there were occasions when the two didn’t get along off-camera. They’ve collaborated on films like ‘Naseeb,’ ‘Yaar Meri Zindagi,’ and others. The older actor revealed a lot about Big B in his biography, “Anything But Khamosh: The Shatrughan Sinha Biography.”

He also claimed that because of Amitabh Bachchan, he had to return the signing fees for a number of films. He said that they had a strained relationship. “The trouble was the acclaim I was getting for my performances,” he explained. Amitabh could see I was getting a reaction. That’s why he wouldn’t let me in on some of his projects.

Shatrughan also discussed his and Big B’s feud at the time. He went on to add that Zeenat Aman or Rekha was one of the causes for the separation and that they both had a part in it. “During Kaala Patthar, a heroine who was known to be quite friendly with him would pay him a visit,” he said. She’d show up throughout Dostana as well, but he never brought her out and introduced her to any of us. Everyone in show business knew who was paying a visit to whom. If Reena was in my make-up room, the media would know right away. In our world, such things can never be hidden.”

Later that year, Big B was spotted at the book launch for Shatrughan’s memoir.

Meanwhile, Big B will star with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in Nag Ashwin’s upcoming film. He also has the characters ‘Jhund,’ ‘Mayday,’ and ‘The Intern.’
