Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mission Majnu to hit theatres on May

Today, November 2, Sidharth Malhotra stated that his next film, Mission Majnu, will be released on May 13, 2022. The film stars Rashmika Mandanna and is directed by Shantanu Bagchi.

Sidharth will play the part of a RAW agent in the film. the film is directed by Shantanu Bagchi that follows the journey of a RAW agent who leads India’s clandestine mission in Pakistan.

Sidharth Malhotra will portray a RAW spy in Mission Majnu, after his role as an Indian Army officer in Shershaah. The film is set to hit theatres on May 13, 2022. The actor made the announcement on social media today, November 2.

 He wrote, “Get ready to be a part of India’s greatest covert operation that derailed Pakistan’s illicit Nuclear Ambitions! Inspired by real events, #MissionMajnu releasing on 13th May 2022 in a cinema near you (sic).”

Sidharth Malhotra started the shoot of Mission Majnu on August 23 after it was delayed owing to Covid-19. The spy thriller is set in the 1970s and is based on true events. The filming was completed in September. In the final week of August, Rashmika Mandanna completed her portion.

“Mission Majnu is a patriotic narrative inspired by genuine events that glorify the hard work of RAW agents who go out of their way to defend the citizens of our nation,” Sidharth had previously stated of the film. It’s an honor to share the narrative of our heroic agents, and I’m looking forward to returning to a mission that permanently altered our relationship between India and Pakistan.

Mission Majnu, directed by Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP and produced by Amar Butala and Garima Mehta, began filming in Lucknow in February.
