The Kashmir Files or RRR, Twitter discusses Oscar nominations prior to the announcement

Fans are speculating on Twitter about India’s official Oscar submission for next year. March 2023 will host the 95th Academy Awards. However, it has been reported that jury members of the Film Federation of India are currently reviewing films that can be sent from India to compete in the best the 2023 Academy Awards will have a category for overseas films in the feature-length category. Fans on Twitter are certain that it is either RRR or The Kashmir Files, two of the most popular films of recent years, even though an official announcement has not yet been made.

Fans are tweeting with the hashtag #RRRforOscars about SS Rajamouli’s RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Some are arguing that the film should be chosen as India’s official Oscar entry for next year by stating that it was not only a pan-Indian hit but also praised in the West, including by Hollywood filmmakers. Foreign language film is the only category open to films made outside of Hollywood. But RRR will be nominated in multiple categories, just like Parasite,” tweeted one.

The Kashmir Files describes the migration of Kashmiri Pandits. Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi, and Chinmay Mandlekar are the actors who star in it, and Vivek Agnihotri is the one who wrote and directed it. The film was produced tax-free in several states.

Recently, trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted that RRR or The Kashmir Files could represent India at the 2023 Oscars. He stated, “Since September 16, Film Federation of India jury members has been watching Indian films in preparation for India’s official Oscar submission… An announcement is anticipated during the first week of October or earlier… RRR, The Kashmir Files, and Shyam Singha Roy are among the films that are being considered…”
