Varun Dhawan greets Team India at Mumbai International Airport and bonds with Shikhar Dhawan
Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha Dalal recently met with members of the Indian cricket team as they prepared to depart for Zimbabwe for a three-match One-Day International series against the host country. The actor took to Instagram to share a few photos as well as his excitement at finally meeting them.
Varun tweeted a group photo with Team India and another with Shikhar Dhawan, writing, “I was like a kid in a candy store at 4 a.m. I was very excited to meet and talk to our men in blue. Concerning their upcoming tour. @SDhawan25 also posed a couple of riddles to me.”
Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal are pictured with Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rahul Tripathi, Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammed Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Prasidh Krishna, and Shubman Gill.
Varun and Natasha were spotted at Mumbai airport on Saturday morning. The couple appears to have met Team India in the waiting room before departing on vacation. Natasha wore white while Varun wore blue casuals.
Varun was abroad filming for his upcoming film Bawaal for 45 days before returning home last week. Janhvi Kapoor co-stars with Varun Dhawan in the film. Bawa, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, finished filming in Poland. It will be released in theatres on April 7, 2019. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari wrote the story of Bawa.
He also recently met up with his JugJugg Jeeyo team at producer Karan Johar’s home. Varun was joined at the event by his co-stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Koli.
Varun will also appear in Amar Kaushik’s horror-comedy Bhediya in addition to Bawaal. In the film, he co-stars with Kriti Sanon.
