Yami Gautam is now enjoying her newlywed period, having just married director Aditya Dhar. But it hasn’t deterred the pair from returning to work. While Aditya is preparing for his next film with Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Yami is preparing for her next film ‘Pink’ as a journalist with Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.

The yet-untitled film was intended to be shot in Kolkata and Purulia in May, according to a report in a news portal, but the plans went astray owing to the second wave of the epidemic. The director hopes to begin filming in Kolkata in August now that the situation has improved. The tale is place in the city for the most part.

Yami, who is presently filming A Thursday, appears to have been cast in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s next film. According to a source, the actress fell in love with the film right away, saying, “Yami had liked the screenplay right from the narration.” She’ll portray a journalist who drives the plot forward. She’s engaged heavily in the production and has had many Zoom conversations with the director over the last few months to have a better understanding of the story’s finer points.”

According to reports, the film would look at journalistic misdeeds that go unreported. Yami fell in love with the screenplay as soon as she heard it read aloud. The actress is believed to be very involved in the movie and has spoken with the director numerous times over the past several months to have a better understanding of the tale.

Aside from that, Yami has a role in the film ‘Bhoot Police,’ in which she will be seen with Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Saif Ali Khan.

Yami is also in the film ‘Dasvi,’ which also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur.
