Aditi Rao Hydari attended the Cannes Film Festival 2022 wearing a white Sabyasachi saree. This is her first time attending the film festival.

Aditi Rao Hydari made her Cannes Film Festival 2022 debut wearing a Sabyasachi saree. The actor, who has worked in the Indian film industries of Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, arrived at the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival on Friday. Aditi took to Instagram to show off her new look, saying that her ‘amma amma’ (grandmother) would be proud of her.

“My amma would be proud (heart emoji) Simplicity and tradition in my favorite @sabyasachiofficial,” she wrote alongside photos of herself posing on a staircase. The photographs showed her wearing a hand-dyed and embroidered ivory organza sari with an emerald and diamond choker from the Bengal Royale Collection of Sabyasachi Jewellery. This is the second time a Sabyasachi outfit has been spotted at the festival this year. On the first day of the festival, Deepika Padukone wore a retro saree by the designer.

Aditi posted more photos of herself in the outfit on her Instagram account, as well as a video of herself in various locations around Cannes. She set the reel to her rendition of Snehidane x Chupke Se and invited others to sing along. She captioned the photo with the phrase, “A little piece of my heart from Cannes.” Create your remix of this audio and tag me.”

Aditi’s fans and friends in the entertainment industry praised her appearance and voice. “Ati Sundar (too beautiful),” Patralekhaa wrote, while Huma Qureshi commented with a red heart emoji. “Stunning,” wrote Manisha Koirala, adding a fire emoji.

Aditi revealed to the Hindustan Times that she was supposed to make her Cannes debut earlier, but it was pushed back due to the lockdown. “I am now going this year, I have a packed schedule because I am doing various things,” she explained. It’s something I’m looking forward to. I keep telling myself, ‘remember when you were a kid, you had a dream of going to Cannes, of being in films, of experiencing this magical thing.’ I’m simply telling myself to go there and feel it. I just want to be in the moment and soak in all of the magic that surrounds me.”

Aditi was most recently seen in the Tamil film Hey Sinamika, alongside Dulquer Salmaan and Kajal Aggarwal. Her next films include Gandhi Talks and Jubilee.
