Akshay Kumar says “Done Kar Do” in the Raksha Bandhan film’s Jagran song

Akshay Kumar

At midnight, Akshay Kumar released a new song titled Done Kar Do from his upcoming film Raksha Bandhan. The devotional number starts with Akshay singing the song at a Jagran, and it ends with the actor sleeping on stage with the Mata ki chunni as his blanket. It also shows Akshay’s Lala Kedarnath running an eatery and dealing with his sisters’ antics at home.

Done Kar Do, sung by Navraj Hans, features music by Himesh Reshammiya and lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The song also depicts Akshay’s lack of time for his love life as he tries to balance multiple jobs while his three out of four sisters cause a commotion most of the time. The eldest of the four sisters is shown as the only one who assists Lala Kedarnath.

Aanand L. Rai directed Raksha Bandhan, which stars Bhumi Pednekar opposite Akshay Kumar. In the film, Akshay’s sisters are played by Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth. Seema Pahwa also appears as a matchmaker.

Akshay had previously shared some behind-the-scenes photos from Raksha Bandhan. He wrote alongside them on Instagram, “A film about the most special bond, where there was a lot of bonding. Sharing a few special moments from this very special film, which will be released in a theater near you in one month. The film #RakshaBandhan will be released in theaters on August 11th.” On various days of the shoot, he was seen hugging Aanand L Rai and his co-stars on the sets.

The film is set to be released on August 11, 2022, and will compete with Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated Laal Singh Chadha. After Bachchan Pandey and Samrat Prithviraj, this is Akshay’s third release of the year.
