Middle-Class Love trailer: Anubhav Sinha introduces ‘hamare wale newcomers’
Middle-Class Love is the latest project from Anubhav Sinha’s production company Benaras Media, and the trailer has been released. The film, directed by his wife Ratnaa Sinha, stars Maska actor Prit Kamani as well as two newcomers, Eisha Singh and Kavya Thapar. Manoj Pahwa also plays an important role in the film.
The Middle-Class Love trailer begins with a voice-over telling us that every successful man is supported by a woman, but every middle-class man is supported by a son who is frequently advised on how to spend less money. Soon after, we enter a typical middle-class family’s living room, where Manoj Pahwa plays the father, holding a slipper as he chastises his son (Prit) for overspending. Soon after, we learn that the son wishes to escape the misery of the middle class and has his sights set on a rich girl whom he wishes to date.
In a press statement about the film, Anubhav said, “I take pride in the fact that I was able to introduce such talented, sincere, and hardworking actors, who have no relationships in the industry, as well as provided them with a venue in which they will be showcased in a manner that is commensurate with the caliber of their talent.”
Ratnaa made her directorial debut with the 2017 film Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, starring Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda. Working with new talent is difficult, but it is also extremely rewarding because they gave their all. You can hold their hand and force them to walk, and it’s been a wonderful journey.”
