Rejoining Housefull: ‘Looking forward to working with Akshay Kumar, Riteish’

Abhishek Bachchan is returning to the Housefull franchise, which is truly a homecoming moment. The actor has been cast in the comedy project’s fifth installment, which also features Akshay Kumar, and will shortly begin filming.

Abhishek debuted in the franchise in 2016 with Housefull 3, in which he portrayed Bunty, an aspiring MC forced to assume the persona of a person with a disability due to unforeseen circumstances.

“Delighted to return”

Abhishek is thrilled to be joining Riteish Deshmukh and Akshay on the Housefull 5 set. Additionally, Abhishek reunites with Tarun Mansukhani, with whom he collaborated on Dostana, on this endeavor.

“One of my favorite comedy franchises, Housefull, is Housefull, and returning to it is like returning home. “Working with Sajid Nadiadwala has always been an absolute delight,” Abhishek said in a statement, adding, “I am looking forward to having a blast with my fellow actors Akshay and Ritesh on the sets. Additionally, I cannot wait to work alongside my close companion Tarun Mansukhani once more. After Dostana, I am looking forward to collaborating with him once more. “This is going to be tremendously enjoyable.”

Concerning the Housefull series

Sajid’s Housefull is among the most successful comedy film franchises in Bollywood. With Housefull, the franchise debuted in 2010, subsequent installments were released in 2012, 2016, and 2019. The director of both Housefull 1 and Housefull 2 was Sajid Khan. The director of Housefull 3 was Sajid-Farhad. The director of the fourth and final installment was exclusively Farhad Samji.

In addition to Riteish, the first installment of the comedy franchise also featured Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan, Boman Irani, and Chunky Pandey. In the second segment, Jacqueline Fernandez, John Abraham, and Asin participated. Additionally, the late Rishi Kapoor appeared in the film.

Abhishek was cast alongside Jacqueline, Nargis Fakhri, and Lisa Haydon in Housefull 3. The fourth installment introduced a new cast, which included Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda, in addition to Akshay and Ritiesh.
