Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, starring Salman Khan, had a good debut at the box office on its first day

Salman Khan

What up, bro? Kisi Ki Jaan would need 15–17 crore to break even. The Salman Khan film should have made at least 20 crore on its first day. This is, however, before the Eid holiday, and secondly, the post-pandemic standard for a successful debut has shifted. While there was a period of denial surrounding this in 2022, it is becoming increasingly evident that the situation will remain the same until the end of this year at least.

The film’s first-day earnings were thus 15.81 crore. This is on the low end of what was hoped for, but it’s better than opening at the 12–13 crore level like it looked like it may in the afternoon shows. It is true that the single screens at the major public gathering places were affected by the approaching Eid holiday. There was not enough forward motion, at least in the movie theaters.

However, the beginning is promising enough that there is hope for a positive weekend. Sales of KKBKKJ are expected to rise today because of the Eid holiday and the fact that it is Saturday. From here, the film starring Salman Khan should ideally see a rise in its box office takings to the 23.25 crore mark. If the Farhad Samji-directed action drama manages to break the 20-crore barrier today, it would be reasonable to expect the box office to bring in over 60 crores over the course of the weekend.
