Louis Diame, Issa Rae’s longtime lover, has married her.

Over the weekend, Emmy-nominated actress Issa Rae married her longtime lover and businessman Louis Diame in a vacation wedding in France. The ‘Insecure’ actress announced her marriage to Diame on Instagram on July 25 and released images from the wedding, which took place in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, a commune in southern France.

Louis Diame, 37, donned a red Dolce & Gabbana suit, while Rae, 36, chose a bespoke Vera Wang gown.

Rae was rumored to be engaged when she was pictured on the cover of an April 2019 edition magazine sporting a diamond ring, according to sources.

Rae and Diame have kept their relationship quiet, although the businesswoman has walked the red carpet with the actor on many occasions.

Rae also included photographs of her bridesmaids in her post.

Rae’s ‘Insecure’ co-stars Jay Ellis and Yvonne Orji were the first to reveal her engagement at the NAACP Image Awards in March 2019.

“We’re all extremely thrilled for her,” Orji said at the time, adding, “We all found out in various ways since we’re all on separate text chains.” We all discovered out at various times and in different ways since we chat at different times.”

Rumors about her engagement began a few months earlier when she was photographed on the cover of a magazine wearing a diamond ring.

Though the businessman has joined the actress on numerous red carpets over the years, Rae and Diame have generally kept their relationship out of the public.
