His choice paid off when his performance in Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was praised. “Well, it’s actually 10 years if you consider the fact that I’ve been acting since October 2011,” he answers when asked whether he’s happy with how his career has progressed over the previous nine years.

I’m feeling steady, serene, and content that I’m in a position where the public accepts me. I know what I bring to the table when I go to work. Yes, there have been times when the audience has responded and provided criticism expressing dissatisfaction with specific areas of my profession.”

Being at home during the epidemic allowed the actor to reflect on his professional path. “I feel like a lot of learnings have soaked in over the previous year because the lockdown helped me take a breath, sit down, and take note of how I should be rather than how people perceive me to be,” the 2 States actor adds. My professional life has been a roller-coaster experience that has taught me a great deal. I think it’s shaping up to be rather intriguing. I also have the impression that I’m just getting started. This is only the beginning for me; I want to stay here for 90 years, not nine.”
