Delhi government has declared Ranveer Singh’s cricket drama ’83’ tax-free

The Delhi government has declared the film 83 tax-free. The video depicts India’s World Cup victory in 1983 when it defeated West Indies in the final to win the trophy under Kapil Dev’s captaincy.

The creators of Kabir Khan’s cricket drama “83,” starring actor Ranveer Singh, Delhi Government announced on Tuesday that it had been deemed tax-free in Delhi.

Kabir Khan rushed to Instagram to congratulate Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. “Thank you for declaring the film 83 tax-free in Delhi, Shri. @arvindkejriwal Ji and Shri. msisodia.aap ji!” Your generosity will allow us to tell the story of India’s greatest victory to a larger audience. “@therealkapildev #ThisIs83 (sic),” he posted on Twitter.

The video depicts India’s World Cup victory in 1983 when they defeated the West Indies in the final to claim their first World Cup title under Kapil Dev’s captaincy.

“83,” produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films, will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam theatres on December 24.

Ranveer Singh plays former Indian captain Kapil Dev, who captained the victorious side in ’83. SeetaGeeta has exclusively learned that Mohinder Amarnath, the winning team’s vice-captain, would be a part of the sports entertainer. He will not be appearing as himself in ’83, but rather as his father, Lala Amarnath.

Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, and R Badree also appear in the film.

Actor Deepika Padukone features a special role in the film, playing Romi, Kapil’s wife.
