Janhvi Kapoor has released the first images from her forthcoming flick, Good Luck Jerry. Deepak Dobriyal also appears in the dark comedy.
Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her next production, Good Luck Jerry. The actress released the first posters for her new flick, which will be available on Disney+ Hotstar on July 29. One of the posters depicts her wearing a nose ring and firing a weapon at someone. Another billboard depicts her running away from someone.
Janhvi posted on Instagram, “Nikal Padi hu main Ek naye adventure par, GoodLuck Nahi belonged (I’ve set off on a new adventure, won’t you say good luck) #GoodLuckJerry streaming from July 29th on @disneyplushotstar.” In the comments section, several of her followers wished her “good luck” with the project.
Good Luck is directed by Sidharth Sengupta. Jerry is played by Janhvi as the title role. Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh also appear in the film. It is a dark comedy and a remake of the Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila, which was released in 2018.
Janhvi will also appear in Nitesh Tiwari’s forthcoming film Bawaal, with Varun Dhawan. She is now working on the film Mr. And Mrs. Mahi, in which she portrays a cricketer. Mili, a film by her father Boney Kapoor, is also in the works. Janhvi and Manoj Pahwa play the daughter and father, respectively. In the film, she co-stars with Sunny Kaushal.
Janhvi was previously questioned about her film choices, which are largely centered on women. In an interview with Filmfare, Janhvi said, “I don’t believe that was an intentional choice.” I’ve simply been doing the kinds of films and parts that thrill me. To be honest, I’ve been pursuing certain things, and as an actor, you can only play in things that you are finally picked for. And these are the films that ended up coming together for me, for which I am incredibly grateful.”
