Kangana Ranaut praised the new chief minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, by calling his story of success the “most inspiring.” She previously clashed with former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

Kangana Ranaut, who was at odds with the Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra government, has congratulated Eknath Shinde, the new chief minister of Maharashtra. The actor praised him for his remarkable rise from auto-rickshaw driver to Maharashtra’s chief minister.

Kangana shared a photo of Eknath Shinde on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, writing, “What an uplifting success story… From driving an auto-rickshaw for a living to becoming one of the country’s most important and powerful people… congratulations, sir.”

Kangana had a falling out with the Uddhav Thackeray government in recent years, and she slammed him on multiple occasions on her social media accounts. Kangana recently responded to Uddhav’s resignation as chief minister with a video on her Instagram. She is heard saying, “I declared in 2020 that democracy is a belief system,” while being filmed. Those who destroy this belief system in the name of power are doomed. Their arrogance will be shattered. This reveals a person’s personality.”

During the recent political crisis in Maharashtra, an old video of her slamming Uddhav for demolishing her new office went viral. She asked Uddhav Thackeray in the video, “What do you think? That you got your own back on me by destroying my house with the help of film mobs and taking your revenge? Today, my home was destroyed, and tomorrow, your pride will go the same way. Time will tell how things turn out. Remember.”

Following the emergence of a political crisis in the state, Uddhav Thackeray resigned as chief minister. The Bharatiya Janata Party was declared the new ruling party in Maharashtra, and Eknath Shinde was appointed as the new Chief Minister. Kangana has been a vocal BJP supporter.

Kangana will next be seen in Tejas, where she will play an Indian Airforce officer. The movie will come out later this year. She is currently working on her first production, Emergency. She will be seen in the film playing Indira Gandhi.
