People have told Kubbra Sait that Bollywood is “full of demons and monsters”
In an interview, actress Kubbra Sait stated that when she first entered the film industry, she was told that it was full of “monsters and demons.” She also stated that “Persecutors do what offenders do,” therefore forgiveness is crucial.
Kubbra, who was born in Bangalore, made her acting debut in Salman Khan and Asin Thottumkal’s Ready, in which she played a minor role. She went on to star in movies like Sultan, Ready, Jawaani Jaaneman, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, and City Of Life. Her breakout performance was in the Netflix series Sacred Games. She was most recently seen in the Apple TV+ show Foundation.
In an interview with CNBC, Kubbra Sait recalled entering the industry and being told to return home because it is the “worst place.” “When I first came to this industry, I was told that it was the worst place to be and that I should just pack up and leave,” she explained. But, looking back, I couldn’t have chosen a more noble profession. It allows you to tell stories and experience other people’s lives. It’s the most compassionate place you can be. And people notice you for it, for the experience you’re having. I think it’s a fantastic place to be.”
“I was told that this place is full of monsters and demons and that I should not come here,” Kubbra continued, “but I always think of it as the city of dreams.” However, if it does or has become a nightmare for you, I believe the first thing you should do is reflect on your journey. Forgiveness plays a significant role. It is not for the benefit of anyone other than yourself. That is crucial because perpetrators will do what perpetrators do. We still have a chance to fight them if we are above them.”
Open Book, Kubbra’s first book as an author, was published on June 27. She has shared personal stories in it, including how she was sexually assaulted by a family friend, among other things.
