People in Copenhagen sang Rajinikanth-Ballailaka SPB’s song.
With the rise of social media, we’ve seen individuals from all over the world shake a leg for Indian music they don’t understand or even know how to perform. While foreigners have seldom sang more than a few phrases in Tamil, a video of people in Copenhagen performing a Rajinikanth song has gone viral.
AR Rahman, a music composer, shared a video on social media showing a group of immigrants performing a flash mob choir on the streets of Copenhagen. They sang “Balleilakka” in perfect harmony, and the video has now gone viral. Hundreds of spectators saw the choir sing the song in an operatic style on the Copenhagen streets.

The song was written by late lyricist Na. In AR Rahman’s music, Muthukumar was performed by the late great vocalist SP Balasubrahmanyam, AR Reihana, and Benny Dayal. Following AR Rahman’s social media post, his son AR Ameen expressed his delight that his father’s music has reached far-flung corners of the globe.
