Pooja Batra: I’m pleased I found Nawab; it’s been a wonderful life.

Pooja Batra believes that being in your 40s is a fantastic time. “Age is only a number,” the Bollywood actress, who rose to fame in the 1990s with films like Viraasat and Nayak, explains. “If you are healthy and strong, you will be more confident about yourself.” I feel more attractive now that I’m in my forties because I’m not searching for approval from anyone and I’m enjoying my life with a lot of self-assurance. Today, I’m also not a member of the rat race. I feel at ease, enjoying a nice life, having worked so hard.”

Pooja Batra is a qualified yoga instructor who studied at the BK Iyengar Yoga School in Mumbai. “I’ve always been drawn to yoga; I believed it was the only way to be emotionally and physically fit,” she adds. I also like trekking and adventure sports and have hiked to the Everest and Mont Blanc base camps in France. I’m off to Costa Rica now for a yoga retreat, where you may meet centenarians and learn about their way of life.” In addition, the fitness fanatic holds a brown belt in Mixed Martial Arts from Los Angeles.

On a personal note, Pooja remarried in 2019 to actor Nawab Shah after divorcing in 2010. “My first marriage did not work out, which was sad. However, I have no regrets. “I am glad that I discovered Nawab, he is a wonderful life partner, and life has been magnificent with him,” she adds, adding, “I am happy that I found Nawab, he is a fantastic life partner, and life has been glorious with him.”
