The trailer for Pushpa: The Rise Part 1 starring Allu Arjun, which will be shown in theatres on December 17, was unveiled on Monday night. The film looks to be an interesting action-thriller set against the backdrop of red sandalwood smuggling based on the trailers.

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer begins with a conversation explaining the value of red sandalwood and how cargo worth billions of dollars is smuggled out of Andhra Pradesh’s Seshachalam woods.

Allu Arjun is introduced as Pushparaj nicknamed Pushpa, a truck driver who makes a career smuggling red sandalwood. We see images of him demonstrating his acting prowess. The film’s aesthetics also guarantee that the action moments will be fantastic.

The teaser also shows off some of the other main characters. Sunil portrays one of the baddies, which is a welcome change from his humorous performances. Anasuya Bharadwaj, a well-known television anchor.
