Rajesh Khanna was asked about replacing Amitabh as the superstar
Everyone knows about the late great Rajesh Khanna giving megastar Amitabh Bachchan the cold shoulder during their early days in the industry.
Rajesh Khanna returned to the big screen after a lengthy absence in 2008 with the film ‘Wafaa: A Deadly Love Story.’
Prior to its release, The legendary actor spoke with the press about the film and other topics. During the interview, he was asked about the prevalent perception that Amitabh Bachchan would never have become a superstar if he had remained working in films.
Khanna answered that it is their fate and the will of the Almighty. He went on to say that Bachchan began working with him in ‘Anand’ and progressed to this position, and that he will always congratulate him.He further claimed that he will be pleased as well as envious of the ‘Baghban’ actor for reaching this level of accomplishment. Rajesh Khanna went on to say that he, the industry, and the audience are all very proud of him.
Khanna was seen romancing a young girl in the film ‘Wafaa: A Deadly Love Story.’
Amitabh has previously appeared in films like as ‘Cheeni Kum’ and ‘Nishabd’, in which he dated Tabu and Jiah Khan.
Khanna was last seen in the film ‘Riyasat,’ which was released two years after his death on July 18, 2014.
