Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani: Karan Johar’s film features Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and their “parivaar”

Karan Johar, a director, released the first posters for his upcoming love comedy, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, on his 51st birthday. The movie was supposed to come out on February 10, but now the date has been moved to July 28. On Thursday, fans got new looks at Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh as their characters in the movie, Rani and Rocky, as well as their ‘parivaar’.

Karan posted new Rocky posters on Instagram and wrote, “Meet Rocky, an absolute “heartthrob” who wears his own heart on his sleeve!” On the posters, Ranveer Singh is bare-chested and tanned, and his hair is blowing in the wind as he strikes his most outrageous pose. He’s also got on a big chain and a gold shirt with animal prints on it. On the second ad, Ranveer Singh pulls down his big sunglasses while posing in a leather jacket with spikes.

Karan wrote on Alia’s pictures, “Ladies and gentlemen, the queen is here to steal your hearts—meet Rani!” In both ads, she is wearing a sari and not making a funny face. Under each poster, it says, “A film by Karan Johar, in his 25th anniversary year.” Karan’s first movie was Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which came out in 1998. Since then, his name has become associated with lavish romantic dramas.

Karan said in an interview with PTI a few years ago that the movie is in the same space as KKHH. “As a director, I did go through different stages. But during the outbreak, I felt like I needed to make a movie that made me feel like I was 25 again. When I was 25, the sole film I could think of or create was Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, since it was like an aggregation of all the movies I had grown up seeing.

Karan also posted four new movie pictures that show Alia and Ranveer together. They look like they came from different song parts of the movie. “Rocky and Rani’s world, and you’re about to live in it!” he wrote. “But stay tuned, because you’re also about to meet their parivaar.” After a while, he also showed shots of the “parivaar.” Karan told us about the two main families in the movie, the Randhawas and the Chatterjees. Members of Rocky’s family are played by Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Aamir Bashir, Kshitee Jog, and Anjali Anan. Members of Rani’s family are played by Shabana Azmi and Tota Roy Choudhury.
