Thank You for Coming

Thank You for Coming (TYFC), starring Bhumi Pednekar, was released in theatres on October 6. The Karan Boolani-directed film, which also stars Shehnaaz Gill, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, and Shibani Bedi, has garnered positive reviews but has yet to find a large audience. The film earned Rs 4.42 crore in its opening weekend at the Indian box office.

Taran Adarsh, a trade analyst, tweeted, “Thank You ForComing is a hit at premium multiplexes, but the aggregate total is on the low side… Going forward, in order to leave a lasting impression, it is necessary to maintain Fri levels… Fri 1.06, Sat 1.56, and Sun 1.80 million. 4.42 total cr. “

Bhumi stated in a statement, “I am proud that Thank You for Coming has sparked an essential dialogue about female pleasure, a topic that appears to be highly taboo in India. I am thrilled that the film and my performance have received unanimously positive reviews and so much affection from people of all genders.”

She added, “As an actor, I have tried to lend my voice to important social topics for women, such as a girl’s right to be happy with her body type in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, a woman’s right to demand proper toilets in her home in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, and the need for society to treat women and gender equally in projects such as Lust Stories, Badhaai Do, which empowers the LGBTQIA+ community.”

“Now in Thank You for Coming, I am attempting to advocate for a girl’s right to self-gratification. All of these are extremely pertinent issues for girls in India, and I’m happy I’ve been able to bring this topic to the attention of people across my nation. “I hope we can have these conversations in a more open and constructive manner,” the actor concluded.
