Billie Eilish is set to appear in ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ concerts

At the live-to-film concert experience celebrating Tim Burton’s ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas,’ American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish will play Sally alongside Danny Elfman’s Jack Skellington later this month.

Billie Eilish was confirmed as an additional cast member for the two ‘Nightmare’ events on October 29 and 31 at Banc of California Stadium. Her Sally will join Danny Elfman, the cartoon musical’s composer/songwriter, who will sing Jack Skellington, as well as ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic, who will sing Lock, and original voice cast member Ken Page, who will reprise his film vocals as Oogie Boogie.

Catherine O’Hara played Sally in the 1993 film, which Eilish will reprise as a guest vocalist. “I’m overjoyed that Billie has decided to join the nightmare team. This will be a genuine pleasure (rather than a trick).”

The live-to-film ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ performances continues a tradition that began at the Hollywood Bowl and ended in 2018.

In a June interview with Variety, Elfman mentioned the potential of restarting the show at a new location when a scheduled 2020 engagement at the Bowl was canceled, as well as the likelihood that this might be the final performance, at least for the time being.

Laura Engel and Richard Kraft of Kraft-Engel Management, as well as Alison Ahart Williams, Tim Fox, and Georgina Ryder of AMP Worldwide and Disney Concerts, are producing the Banc of California concerts.

The show on October 29th begins at 8 p.m., while the concert on Halloween night begins at a more family-friendly 6:30 p.m. Both nights will have trick-or-treating stations and costume contests.
