Amitabh Bachchan visits the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya to get blessings

On Friday, Amitabh Bachchan visited Ayodhya to pay his obeisance at the newly dedicated Ram Mandir. This happened immediately after he attended the consecration ceremony yesterday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A video obtained by PTI shows Amitabh constrained by strong security as he approaches the Ram Mandir to seek blessings. The news agency captioned the video: “Actor Amitabh Bachchan (@SrBachchan) offers prayers at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.” A traditional-dressed actor is seen making his approach to the temple. The actor is in Uttar Pradesh to officially open a new shop as the brand ambassador for a well-known jewellery business.

During his past visits

Amitabh was also in Ayodhya on January 22nd for the Ram Mandir Pran Prathishta event. Thousands of visitors from the entertainment, sports, and political spheres sent invites, including him. On this day, he was accompanied by his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan. Following the event, he shared images on X, including a shot of the temple’s Ram Lalla deity.

On his blog, he described it as “a day filled with the significance of the divine spirit”.”A day replete with profound spiritual significance…” After participating in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya, I experienced a sense of awe, celebration, and hopeful anticipation. I was totally involved in the calculation of the TEMPLE at the birth of Shri Ram. More can be said about this, but faith itself defies description.”
