Anupam Kher sends his wife Kirron Kher a rare photo of their wedding to celebrate their 37th wedding anniversary: ‘I dug it out…’

Today marks the 37th wedding anniversary of actor Anupam Kher and his actor-politician wife Kirron Kher. Anupam shared a rare wedding photo from his and Kirron’s wedding, which he had to dig out of his father’s ‘treasure trunk’ for the occasion.

The stars appear to be taking their wedding pheras in the photo. The actor captioned the photo, “Happy anniversary dearest #Kirron.” During my recent visit to Shimla, I discovered this photo of our wedding 37 years ago in my father’s Treasure Trunk! Kirron Kher and Anupam Kher married in 1985, and they have one son, Sikandar, from Kirron’s first marriage to Gautam Bery. Kirron Kher told Firstpost about their love story in 2013, and how they began as close friends while married to different people.

“We were still good friends and did plays together,” I recall going to Calcutta for Nadira Babbar’s play, and he arrived looking different, his head shaved, for some film he was doing, I believe. He looked back at me as he was leaving the room, and something happened between us. Later, he knocked on my door and said, ‘I need to talk to you.’ ‘I think I’ve fallen in love with you,’ he added. And then there was this huge, intense change, and the chemistry exploded. I divorced and married him. “He had nothing at the time,” she explained.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Kirron Kher, a Member of Parliament, was diagnosed with cancer. The actor won her battle with cancer after a long and difficult battle.

In response to Anupam Kher’s recent post, actress Mahima Chaudhry commented, “Wishing u both a very happy anniversary and a great journey ahead.” “You both look the same.” Anupam Kher will be seen in his upcoming film The Signature, as well as Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming directorial Emergency. Mahima Chaudhry also appears in both films.
