Kamal Haasan will guest in Kalki 2898 AD, says Indian 3

Kamal Haasan is renowned for his charisma and versatility across a wide range of genres. The actor, who has effectively navigated South and Bollywood cinema, recently discussed his forthcoming films in an interview with The Hindu. In addition to confirming his intentions for Indian 3, Kamal provided insight into his role in the Prabhas-starring film Kalki 2898 AD.

Kamal Haasan affirms Indian 3’s post-production status

In response to a question regarding his absence from the silver screen in 2023 following Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram, Kamal disclosed his 2024 film schedule. He stated, “We are unable to accelerate production because quality is more important than quantity.” I have finished Indian levels two and three. We are currently in the process of post-production on Indian 2, and we plan to start on Indian 3 as soon as we finish. Thug Life filming will commence shortly. ” A guest appearance by me was in the film Kalki 2898 AD.” The November 2023 publication of the teaser for The Indian 2 sparked considerable interest among cinephiles.

For Indian 2, Kamal Haasan endured de-ageing

Shankar disclosed the latest VFX developments for Indian 2 via Twitter in July 2023: “An examination of the cutting-edge technology at Lola VFX Los Angeles.” Kamal Haasan was required to undergo a four-hour makeup session in order to resemble Senapathy in the film Indian 2. They then undertook a two-hour procedure to remove the makeup. The film will depict the character in both his youth and elderly years. For those unaware, the veteran also appeared in Vikram in de-aging sequences that were ultimately omitted from the final cut.


The premiere date for Indian 2 is April 11, 2024. Gulshan Grover, Siddharth, Vivek, Kalidas Jayaram, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Guru Somasundaram, and Rakul Preet Singh all play pivotal roles in the film. Co-produced by Subaskaran and Udhayanidhi Stalin, the vigilante action thriller is produced by Red Giant Movies and Lyca Productions, respectively. News 18 reports that Netflix has purchased the film’s digital rights for an astounding 200 crore.
