And she’s 48… she’s stunning.” Other fans praised her and described her as a “natural beauty,” “beautiful,” and “timeless.” One fan wrote a line from her song Bholi Si Surat from her film Dil Toh Pagal Hai. Karisma made her Bollywood debut in 1991 with Prem Qaidi, but she did not appear in front of the camera until Nishchay, which was released a year later. This has been a long time coming for me,” she exclaimed. It was lovely. We did a small scene with Salman Khan and Reema Lagoo. The director is wonderful; he’s so nice and sweet. Everyone made me feel very welcome. That was my first time in front of a camera. I’d never given a screen test to anyone before.”

She went on to star in a number of box office hits, including Jigar, Anari, Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, and Jeet. She won the Filmfare Award for best actress in 1996 for her performance in Raja Hindustani alongside Aamir Khan.
