Rebel trailer: GV Prakash Kumar, Mamitha Baiju’s university politics and love film

On Monday, the producers of Rebel, an indie film directed by Nikesh RS and featuring GV Prakash Kumar and Mamitha Baiju in the main roles, released the film’s trailer. Fans were already intrigued by the film’s advertisements prior to Dhanush’s endorsement, which lent it further credibility.

The two-minute-and- seventeen-second trailer provides a glimpse of the film. Kathiresan, portrayed by Prakash, is a native of Munnar and a member of a Tamil family. Pursuing a higher education in Palakkad, he develops an affection for Mamitha’s persona. When a battle breaks out between the Tamilians and the locals, the situation changes. What begins as a college altercation escalates into a situation requiring the assistance of local legislators and the police. Multiple events illustrate Kathiresan’s transformation from a timid college student to a rebellious leader.

Under the studio Green banner, About Rebel Rebel is directed by Nikesh and produced by KE Gnanavel Raja. Mamitha will make her début in Tamil cinema with this film. The actor’s recent success in the Malayalam film Premalu propelled him to prominence. Shalu Rahim, Venkatesh VP, Karunas, and others appear in pivotal roles. Prakash, in addition to assuming the main role, also composed the music and background score for the film. Vetre Krishnan serves as the film’s editor, while Arun Radhakrishnan serves as its cinematographer.

Prakash is the composer of numerous films in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, including Thangalaan by Vikram, Emergency by Kangana Ranaut, Sarfira by Akshay Kumar, Lucky Bhaskar by Dulquer Salmaan, Robin Hood by Nithiin, Suryia’s untitled film, and many others.
