Shruti Haasan discusses her ‘tough battle’ with PCOS and endometriosis

Shruti Haasan

Shruti Haasan recently opened up on Instagram about dealing with PCOS and endometriosis and how she tries to stay positive.

Earlier this month, Shruti Haasan shared an Instagram post from a workout session in which she discussed her battles with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and the complications of endometriosis. The actor, who has been open about her fitness journey, told fans about her struggles with these disorders and how she manages to stay positive in the midst of it all.

Shruti posted a video of herself working out on Instagram Reels on Wednesday. Shruti was seen in the video performing various exercises in a gym while dressed in a black tank top and shorts. The actor mentioned hormonal issues during her workout in the caption of the post.

“Work out with me!” she wrote. I’ve had some of the worst hormonal issues with my PCOS and endometriosis – women know it’s a tough fight with the imbalance and bloating and metabolic challenges – but instead of viewing it as a battle, I choose to accept it as a natural movement that my body goes through to do its best and I say ‘thank you for eating healthy, getting plenty of rest, and having fun during my training.”

The actor went on to say that she knew her body wasn’t perfect right now, but she chose to have a positive attitude about it instead of worrying about it. As she continued, “My physique isn’t ideal right now, but my heart is,” she stated. Maintain your fitness, continue to enjoy life, and release those endorphins!!! I know I sound a little preachy, but accepting these challenges and not allowing them to define me has been such a journey. So I’m overjoyed to share this with you all.”

Fans praised Shruti’s approach to dealing with the disorders as well as her positive outlook. “Keep it up, continuously,” one fan said. “Impressive attitude,” wrote another. Shruti’s workout was also praised by many others.

Shruti most recently appeared in the Amazon Prime Video web series Bestseller, alongside Mithun Chakraborty, Arjan Bajwa, and Gauahar Khan. This year, the actor has two films coming out: Waltair Veerayya and an untitled project starring Nandamuri Balakrishna. She will also appear in the upcoming Salaar, starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
