Sonakshi and Riteish Deshmukh’s horror-comedy Kakuda shoot today

On July 20, Sonakshi Sinha and Riteish Deshmukh began filming for their forthcoming flick Kakuda. The film will be directed by Marathi director Aditya Sarpotda and will be a horror-comedy. Saqib Saleem also appears in Kakuda.

Sonakshi Sinha, who recently starred alongside Riteish Deshmukh in the film Dabangg 3, has begun filming for Kakuda. The actress uploaded a selfie with Riteish, Saqib Saleem, and director Aditya Sarpotda on her own Instagram account. She is shown carrying a clapperboard with the words “Muhurat” written on it in her hand.

On the way, there’ll be triple the problems! With RSVP’s indigenous production, #Kakuda, be ready for a spooktacular – laughing riot! @aditya a sarpotdar @riteishd @saqibsaleem #RonnieScrewvala @imavinashdwivedi @gharkaachirag @nonabains @rsvpmovies (sic),” the actress captioned the picture.

Sonakshi Sinha said she adored the storyline for her forthcoming film and thinks a comedy picture is just what the world needs right now. “Given the current state of affairs, a lighthearted comedy is unquestionably required viewing. From the first time I read Kakuda’s script, I was enthralled. It’s the type of film I’d love seeing as a viewer,” Sonakshi added.

On the other side, Riteish Deshmukh is looking forward to working with Sonakshi and Saqib Saleem. “I can’t wait to get started on the movie with Sonakshi and Saqib. “I adore the horror-comedy genre, and Kakuda is a fantastic opportunity for me to play a ghostbuster,” the actor added.

“What more can one ask for in a film than a brilliant story, a talented director, a supportive producer, and highly talented co-stars?” “Kakuda is going to be a lot of fun,” Saqib Saleem said.

On its official social media handle, RSVP also announced the start of production on its in-house horror-comedy Kakuda.

Kakuda is a direct-to-OTT horror film with equal parts comedy and spooky elements. The plot revolves around a mysterious curse that has struck a hamlet. In a rollercoaster journey packed with terror and joy, the main characters are confronted with a difficult ghost that forces them to rethink superstition, tradition, and even loves.

Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg wrote the screenplay. Aditya Sarpotdar makes his Hindi directorial debut with Kakuda. “I’m extremely eager to cooperate with Ronnie Screwvala,” Aditya remarked of the project. We’re approaching the film as if it were a big-budget advertisement. The casting was flawless, and the narrative will have you on the edge of your seat and the verge of fainting.”

Apart from Kakuda, Sonakshi Sinha is preparing for the premiere of Bhuj: The Pride of India on Disney+Hotstar on August 13. Ritesh Deshmukh’s most recent appearance was in Baaghi 3.
