Sonam Kapoor will make her digital debut with Blind
With the current pandemic situation, the digital renaissance has definitely begun, and some of the most well-known brands are hopping on board the OTT bandwagon. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, who hasn’t had a film released in almost two years, has completed production on her next project, a suspense thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The project under discussion is a Hindi adaptation of the Korean mystery thriller Blind.
While the film was originally intended for theatres, we now know that Sonam’s Blind adaptation will be released only on Netflix. “Sujoy had considered waiting for a theatrical release,” our source continues. In reality, he is extremely pleased with the final product. However, with the third wave of worry and another theatre closure, he is urged not to hang onto the film any longer. He’s now in discussions with three digital streaming providers, and he’ll choose the best offer.”
“Blind will be Sonam’s debut on OTT,” a trade source said. Because their film is short and they will soon recover the money, it is only natural to use the web. At this time, the theatrical industry is much riskier.
