Deepika Padukone launches initiative mental health support to workers

Deepika Padukone, a Bollywood actress, unveiled a new project on Wednesday aimed at assisting frontline workers in overcoming mental health difficulties as a result of the coronavirus epidemic. The sale earnings from the ‘Deepika Padukone Closet’ will go to NGO Sangath’s specialized Covid-19 well-being facility under the project ‘Frontline Assist,’ according to the actor, who fought and conquered severe depression many years ago.

“As we have weathered this pandemic, frontline employees have been the backbone of our country. I understand the value of emotional wellness as someone who has suffered from mental illness, and as a mental health foundation, we are pleased to be able to contribute to the mental health of our country’s frontline employees through ‘Frontline Assist.’ “Padukone stated in an Instagram post.

Deepika Padukone’s Closet, which she established in 2019, allows fans to shop her hand-picked items on her own website.

“Through our relationship with Sangath, we are pleased to dedicate earnings from The Deepika Padukone Closet towards mental health assistance of our country’s true heroes,” the 35-year-old actress added.

Sangath’s COVID-19 well-being center will be supported by Padukone’s LiveLoveLaugh (LLL) charity, which will use revenues from the current and future editions of The Deepika Padukone Closet to fund Sangath’s staff training initiatives.

Padukone’s LiveLoveLaugh (LLL) organization, of which the Deepika Padukone Closet is a part, will use the sale profits to assist Sangath’s COVID-19 well-being center and staff training initiatives. The revenues from the sale will be used to provide free Tele counseling to frontline workers, weekly online sessions, and access to mental health self-care tools.
