Soni Razdan took to Instagram to share a fan-made video that demonstrated the striking resemblance between her daughter Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ look and her appearance in ‘Mandi.’

The video combines clips of Soni Razdan and Alia from their respective films ‘Mandi’ and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ with the song ‘Meri Jaan’ playing in the background. ‘Have to say I’m gobsmacked with this brilliant edit,’ Soni wrote alongside the video. @alia.bhatt.edits, thank you for taking the time to do this. ‘You are very clever!’ Comments poured in from all sides as soon as she shared the video. Alia also posted heart emoticons in the comments section. Pooja Bhatt, her half-sister, also commented with fire emojis.

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, received positive reviews from both audiences and critics. It also included a cameo appearance by Ajay Devgn. Soni’s friends Neena Gupta, Shabana Azmi, and Ila Arun appeared in ‘Mandi,’ which had a massive star cast. Shyam Benegal directed the film.
